Jamaica Jacobson

Jamaica Jacobson was born in Washington State and raised in beautiful Southern California. Throughout her life she has always enjoyed various types of arts and crafts. It wasn't until 2008 and a trip to a local bead fair in San Diego that she acquired the idea of making jewelry. “I went to a bead fair and bought as much stuff as I could buy with sixty dollars. I took the beads home, organized them, and put them in a drawer for future use. A year went by and I hadn't made a thing. Absolutely nothing! After about a year or so I pulled them out of the closet intending to sell them, but I couldn’t bring myself to do it.”

She started out making jewelry for a friend who needed to bring gifts to Kenya for a missions trip. It was then that she began to realize how much she enjoyed creating jewelry. Over the next few years jewelry was just a hobby. It wasn't until moving out of California in 2013 that her hobby and passion became her full time career. Jamaica’s signature jewelry line is best described as simplistic and classic. Creating men's jewelry is her primary focus, however, recently she has dabbled into creating jewelry that is for women. Her favorite materials are wood beads and semi precious stones such as Onyx, Jade, and Hematite.

While her signature pieces are classic, it is her custom pieces that really allow her creativity to flourish. These pieces, Jamaica admits, are her absolute favorite.  "Working together with a client to create a jewelry piece is amazing. The process from an idea to a finished piece is priceless." As a true artist, she loves being able to take time and create one of kind pieces. Meticulous about colors and detail she enjoys creating wearable art that her customers can enjoy time and time again. She simply loves making people feel confident and fashionable.

When you own a piece of jewelry by Jamaica Jacobson, it is much more than a fashion accessory, you own a piece of handcrafted artistic expression.
