Jamaica Jacobson

Exceptionally skilled at crafting breathtaking pieces, Jamaica Jacobson never imagined she would find such sweeping passion, peace and purpose making jewelry. While she is a self-proclaimed creative, Jamaica admits “I never considered myself a fashionista, never followed trends, especially not jewelry trends, in fact, I hated buying jewelry”.

Jamaica Jacobson was born in Washington State and raised in beautiful Southern California. Throughout her life she has always enjoyed various types of arts and crafts. It wasn't until 2008 and a trip to a local bead fair in San Diego that she acquired the idea of making jewelry. “I went to a bead fair and bought as much stuff as I could buy with sixty dollars. I took the beads home, organized them, and put them in a drawer for future use. A year went by and I hadn't made a thing. Absolutely nothing! After about a year or so I pulled them out of the closet intending to sell them, but I couldn’t bring myself to do it.”

Although determined not to restock merchandise, Jamaica realized that she could use her jewelry as evangelism tools. Eventually, she was asked by a friend to make gifts for her to take on a missions trip. It was then that she began to realize she had a gift. Jamaica’s signature jewelry line is best described as simplistic and classic. Her jewelry line mainly consists of earrings, bracelets, and necklaces for both men and women. Her favorite materials are wood beads, semi precious stones, and Swarovski crystals.

While her signature pieces are beautiful, it is her custom pieces that are jaw dropping. These pieces, Jamaica admits, are her absolute favorite. She loves them because custom pieces allow her a deeper level of creative freedom.  A true artist, Jamaica loves being able to take time and create one of kind pieces. Meticulous about colors and detail she enjoys creating art that her customers can enjoy for a lifetime. She simply loves making people feel wonderful. "Working together with a client to create a jewelry piece is amazing. The process from an idea to a finished piece is priceless."

When you own JEWELRY BY JAMAICA JACOBSON, it is much more than a fashion accessory, you own a piece of art.
